Council Knight of the Year Family of the Year

Current  Directors  and  Committees

There are five directors and various committees organized to investigate and manage the business and activities conducted by our Council.

The directors report to the Deputy Grand Knight, Jeff Thompson. The current directors are:

The Mental Retardation/Learning Disability (MR/LD) committee; sometimes referred to as the Tootsie Roll people, consists of Chair Gary Gorrel, Walt Jones and George Gonzalez.

The Vocations committee consists of Chair Ed Twesten and Fr. Joe Kerber.

The Adopt-A-Highway committee consists of Bob Diesback; the Council will be responsible for picking up trash on Main St. from Route 159 to the I-270 overpass three times each year.

The Free Throw Contest committee consists of Rick Krebs and Bo Semith.

The Plant-a-row (PAR) committee is chaired by John Smith.

The Scholarship committee consists of Chair Nick Hamilos, Greg Roosevelt and Marty Morrissey. Our scholarship fund is called the Eldred N. Adamson Scholarship fund.

The Public Relations committee consists of Walt Gephart. Through Press Releases, we are now well known to many of the local papers. Information on our events is published quickly and the Suburban Journal even sent a photographer to one of the pancake and sausage breakfasts and printed the pictures on the front page.

The Web Site committee consists of Jim Grover; the Council has a nice web site that communicates activities and information with members, the Parish and the public.

The Vacation Bible School committee consists of Tim Lupton and Kelly Jones.

The Retention committee consists of the Deputy Grand Knight, Jeff Thompson, and the Trustees, John Smith, Jim Grover and George Gonzalez.

The Recruitment committee consists of Chancellor Gerard Winterbottom, Lee Horvath, and Bernie Vermillon.

The Admissions committee consists of Chair Gary Sutter, George Gonzalez, Lee Horvath, and Bernie Vermillon.

The Pro-Life Couple are Jim and Vicki Grover.

The Fish Fry committee consists of Jim Grover, John Smith, Gerard Winterbottom.

The Glen/Ed Food Pantry committee consists of Mike Woolsey and Jeff Thompson.

The Election committee consists of the Advocate, Ron Slemer, and the Trustees, John Smith, Jim Grover and George Gonzalez.

The Food Service committee consists of John Smith, Chuck Burcham, and Sid Flyte.

The Ceremonials committee consists of Gary Sutter, Walt Jones, Lee Horvath and George Gonzalez.

The Pot-Luck committee consists of Jim Grover.

The Super Bowl committee consists of Jon Hicks and Chuck Burcham.

The Memorials committee consists of Walt Jones and Jim Grover.

The Breakfasts committee consists of Walt Jones and Ron Clarkin.

The Keep Christ In Christmas committee consists of Jeff Thompson, Walt Jones and Jim Grover.

The Newsletter committee consists of Mike Woolsey; the Council issues a top notch monthly newsletter and periodic single-page insert for the Parish bulletin.

The Insurance Promotion committee consists of the Field Agent and the General Agent.
